What We Do

The Biz Spark is a two-person web design and development studio in Thorold, Ontario. Alex builds the sites and Nina designs them, and you deal with the two of us from the first call to launch. Nothing gets outsourced.

We build for small businesses across the Niagara Region, from a one-page site for a new business to custom builds with e-commerce, bookings, and integrations.

A typical project starts with a free 15-minute call. Then you get a one-page proposal with the exact price, scope, and timeline, and we build once you've approved it. Prices are published on our packages page, and our cost breakdown explains what moves the number.

Web Design

We design sites around your brand and your customers, with layouts that work on a phone first and read clearly on a desktop.

We build the site itself, front end and back end, and make sure it loads fast and does what your business needs it to do.

Basic on-page SEO is part of every build. Ongoing SEO work is a separate monthly plan, because search results build over months.

Social Media

We handle strategy, content, scheduling, and posting. You approve, we publish.

E-commerce Solutions

Product catalogue, cart, checkout, and payments. E-commerce sites are custom builds, so we scope them individually and quote a fixed price.

API Integration

We connect your website to the software you already use, like booking, payments, or inventory, so the two work together.

Where we work

We're based in Thorold and build sites for small businesses across the Niagara Region.

We also work remotely with clients anywhere. Most of the process happens over calls and shared files.

Josue Memories is a photography service for weddings, events, and portraits. Their old site was slow, hard to use on a phone, and hard to find in search. We built a new one with Vue and Nuxt around a fast masonry-style gallery, a responsive layout, and on-page SEO.

What does a typical project look like?

It starts with a free 15-minute call about what you need and whether we're the right fit. Then you get a one-page proposal with the exact price, scope, and timeline before anything starts. After that we build and you launch. See the packages page for the details.

How long does a website take?

A one-page site takes one to two weeks and a five to eight page site takes two to four weeks. Custom builds like e-commerce or booking systems run four to twelve weeks depending on scope.

What's included in a website build?

A one-page build includes a custom design, a mobile-responsive layout, a contact form, and basic on-page SEO. A five to eight page build adds an SEO foundation, Google Business setup, an analytics dashboard, and content integration. The first month of our care plan is included with both.

Who hosts my website?

Our care plan includes managed hosting, daily backups, security updates, uptime monitoring, and an hour of content edits a month. It is $149 CAD a month, the first month is included with every build, and there is no lock-in.

Who does the work?

Two people: Nina designs and Alex develops. Nothing gets outsourced, and the people on the first call are the people who build your site. You can meet us on the about page.
